"The Compartments" of The Silent Lions

If you came out to The Hard Lessons after Christmas bash a few weeks ago you had the pleasure of seeing Silent Lions play a killer set. Every time I see them they are better than the last. Raw, loud, gritty, and original are all words that I would use to describe their music.

Their newest album is called The Compartments and it consists of six new tracks, including my current favorite "Crash and Burn". For some reason they remind me of a modern day Nirvana, not afraid to experiment and create new sounds that you aren't familiar with, but immediately like. The new album isn't coming out until the end of the month, but they have a ton of shows that you can check them out at in our area and throughout the East Coast. First up is this weekend as part of the Secret Friends Fest at The Loving Touch. You can currently win tickets to the show here. You can also check out their music on bandcamp here .

We have a feeling you're going to be hearing more and more good things about this band in 2014.
