Saturday, June 22nd - Gusher Record Release Show: Gusher has a new record out and this Saturday night they're celebrating the release by taking over Metropolis Cycles in Corktown! Joining them for the night is Womb Worm. Cover is only $10. Womb Worm plays at 9 p.m. and Gusher goes on right after. 


Saturday, June 22nd - LiverNoise: Stroll around Ferndale and listen to live music at LiverNoise - a rogue porch fest, this Saturday afternoon. The musicians will use porches of homes as their stages and the music will go from noon - 6 p.m. Some of the acts performing include The Brightmores, Whiskey Charmers, Doozers, Remnose, Ryan Dillaha, Duende! and many more. There will be 40 bands total on 10 different porches. Check out the full lineup and schedule here


Saturday, June 22nd - 2nd Annual Punk Rock Pride Show @ Small's: Pride month is still in full swing and this Saturday night the celebration takes you to Small's for the 2nd Annual Punk Rock Pride Show! The lineup includes Fishi, Black Swan Dive Bomb, Killing Pixies, Scum Queens, and Cemetery Girl. Plus, this year there will also be Drag Performances from Astoria Addams, Angel, Grave Danger, Bedbug, Kingston Blue, Jessi Hex, Marz, and Demme Onyx. Eros Lee will be your MC for the evening. Doors open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m., and 18+ are welcome. Cover is $10 with proceeds going to the Ruth Ellis Center. 


Saturday, June 22nd - Howdy Fest @ The Old Miami: Howdy Fest returns to The Old Miami this Saturday for country western fun right in the city! The day starts with family friendly activities from noon - 5 p.m. including a petting farm and pony rides. Then things get wild in the evening with a mechanical bull, square dancing, and a whole lot of live music at night! There will also be BBQ available starting at 2 p.m. Check out the full schedule of events below. Cover is $25 at the door. Kids under 12 get free admission and all ages are welcome until 5 p.m.

Head to The Alley Deck on Tuesdays All Summer Long for Tacos & Tequila!

 

Summer is finally here and it brought the heat along with it! There's nothing better than spending a summer evening on a patio or a rooftop deck and The Alley Deck is one of the best around! 

Starting today, Tuesday, June 18th, head to The Alley Deck on Tuesday nights for Tacos + Tequila Tuesday. This event will take place every Tuesday all summer long, starting out at 5 p.m. There will be tequila specials, tacos for purchase, and weekly guest DJs.  Plus if you get there early, there will be Happy Hour from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. To celebrate the kickoff, the first 50 people on the deck tonight (6/18/24) will receive 1 FREE taco & a Herradura tequila cocktail! 

The Alley Deck is located at 4120 Woodward in Detroit, just head upstairs and you'll find it through The Magic Stick. Admission is free!

Friday, June 14th - Big Life LP Release Show @ Reware Vintage: Big Life has a new EP out and they're celebrating the release this Friday night with an awesome show! They will be taking over Reware Vintage in Berkley for the night and joining them are Pink Spit and Drop Rate. Friday, June 14th - Boss BBQ @ Small's: Head to Small's this Friday night for BBQ and as much ska as you can handle during Boss BBQ! The lineup for the night includes J. Navarro & The Traitors, Crombies, Killer Diller, Bad Assets, Dirty Notion, and The Old Breed. Renegade Kitchen will be serving up delicious BBQ and DJ Chuck Wren and FCS Soundsystem will provide the tunes between bands. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance here. Doors open at 7 p.m. and all ages are welcome. 

Saturday, June 15th - Pride Prom @ The Crofoot: Pride month continues with Pride Prom this Saturday night at The Crofoot! Head to Pontiac for a night of drinks, dancing, drag queens, and more. There will be performances by Katrina Alexis Monae, Emma Sapphire, and Kourtney Charles, awards for prom royalty, a photo booth, and even themed cocktails. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased here. 18+ are welcome and doors open at 7 p.m.



Sunday, June 16th - Cosmic Psychos 40th Anniversary @ Small's: Celebrate 40 years of Cosmic Psychos this Sunday night at Small's! Also on the bill are Nine Pound Hammer and the one and only Bill Kozy's Rising Force. Tickets are $22 in advance or $25 at the door. Get your advance tickets here. Friday, June 7th - Shadow Show @ Simpsons Records: Shadow Show just got home from a European Tour and they're playing a free show this Friday night! Head to Simpsons Records to see them, Eck!, and Coffer (a new duo in town). Doors open at 7 p.m. and BYOB. Simpsons Records is located at 2961 E. McNichols in Detroit. 

Friday, June 7th - Fell Ruin 10 Year Anniversary @ The Sanctuary: Fell Ruin is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this Friday night at The Sanctuary! Joining them for the evening are Temple of the Fuzz Witch, Mammon, and Baazlvaat. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here. All ages are welcome and doors open at 7 p.m.

Saturday, June 8th & Sunday, June 9th - Motor City Pride: Motor City Pride returns to Downtown Detroit this Saturday and Sunday! Head to Hart Plaza for live music, drag performances, DJs, and more! Don't forget about the Pride parade on Sunday at noon too! It starts at Fort & Griswold, heads down Griswold to Jefferson, and then over to Hart Plaza. Saturday, June 8th - Viva Las Vegas @ Redford Theatre: Elvis fans unite this Saturday at the Redford Theatre! The theatre will be having a matinee showing of the oh so popular Elvis film, Viva Las Vegas. The movie will start at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1 and the organ overture starting at 1:30. Friday, June 7th - Sunday, June 9th - OPEN Outdoors @ Michigan Central: Bummed that you missed out on the big concert at Michigan Central Thursday night, or want to keep the fun going? Head to the station this Friday - Sunday for free outdoor concerts daily, and they're all free! These are a bit smaller in scale, but we're sure they will still be super fun! The concerts go from noon - 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Some of the acts performing include Bevlove, Nick Speed, Ben Sharkey, and more.
