Hip in Detroit's Picks for the Weekend: October 24th - 26th, 2025

Happy weekend before Halloween! There are a lot of fun things happening, this weekend, especially Halloween events! If you're looking for something spooky to do, head over and check out our Halloween Guide. Here are our top picks for this weekend, some that are on that list and some that are not. 

Friday, October 24th - Halloween Punk Night @ Mitchs's Prints: This Friday night, Mitch's Prints is hosting a show at their screen printing shop in Madison Heights! The lineup includes Knuckle Dragger, STEMD (first show), Intel (Fort Wayne), and Disturbio Social. $5 gets you in, doors open at 7 PM, the music starts at 7:30 PM, and all ages are welcome. 

Saturday, October 25th - Carjack @ Bowlero: Saturday night, head to Bowlero for another amazing FREE show! This week's lineup includes Carjack and 3 The Hard Way. Plus, DJ SciFi will be playing tunes over in the lanes. Things kick off at 9 PM and 18+ are welcome. 

Saturday, October 25th - Thirst Wave + Industrial Is Not Dead Halloween Party @ Small's: Don't miss one of the best Halloween parties around, this Saturday night at Small's! Costumes are highly encouraged for this one, in fact you can even win cash prizes in the costume contest! Resident DJ's Elektrosonik, Aaron Hingst and Jon Noble will spin Retro, New Wave, Post-Punk, Goth Industrial, Dark 80's and 90's and more! Plus, there will be Halloween tricks and treats all night! Doors open at 9 PM and 18+ are welcome. Cover is $5 cover for 21+ before 10 PM, $10 Cover for 21+ after 10, and $15 for 18-20.

Saturday, October 25th - Unhappy Endings @ Eastern Palace Club: Up I-75 there's another party happening with similar vibes. Unhappy Endings will take over Eastern Palace Club in Hazel Park this Saturday night. This is the 15th annual Halloween party for Happy Endings! There will be spooky visuals, an absurd amount of fog, and all your favorite Classic Alt / Dark Wave / Goth Halloween jams! No cover, costumes are encouraged, and the party goes from 10 PM - 2 AM. 

Saturday, October 25th - Tylenol Ball @ Paris Bar: Head to Paris Bar this Saturday night for an ACETAMENO-FRENZY at the Tylenol Ball! The lineup includes Crune, Hayley & The Crushers, The Cult of Spaceskull, and DJ Thongria. Costumes are encouraged, doors open at 9 PM, and cover is $10.

Sunday, October 26th - Kerch Market: Once you've had enough spooky stuff for the weekend, head to West Village for some shopping at the Kerch Market. The market will feature tattoos, henna, vintage, permanent jewelry, drinks, food and much more. Just head to 8130 Kercheval between noon - 5 PM!
