Theatre Bizarre: The Procession

Halloween season is upon us and that can only mean one thing, it's time to dress up and pretend you're something you're not and get weird. My favorite masquerade ball, Theatre Bizarre, is the most deviously delicious place to throw on a mask and celebrate all that is evil this October.

Theatre Bizarre is more of an experience than an event, it is unlike any other Halloween party in Michigan. The Masonic Temple is transformed into Hell for one night, each room has it own form of debauchery. This year's ball will feature music from Duende, Nice Hooves, Detroit Party Marching Band, Scorned Deity, and many more. The Weird Sisters Circus will be performing and there will be all sorts of burlesque dancers, suspension artists, and other freak show acts. Two years ago I watched a guy get dollar bills stapled to his body while doing shots with some of my best friends. It was awesome, to say the least.

The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. on October 19th and the party ends at 4 a.m. Drinks stop being served at 2 a.m., so you have a couple hours to sober up before you go home. Tickets will run you around $70 after service charges and can be purchased online, at Noir Leather in Royal Oak, at Showtime on Woodward, and at the Rust Belt in Ferndale. You must wear a costume to attend this event. I'm not talking about heading up to the Halloween store and finding something slutty, this is all out mayhem. Slutty is fine, just make sure it's slutty and evil.
