Two More Ways to Celebrate Halloween at Small's

Tonight and tomorrow night there are two more excuses for you to head to Small's dressed like a goblin or a ghost. But, even if you're not in the mood to dress up, these are a couple shows you don't want to miss.

Tonight at Small's check out The Independents with The Gutter Ghouls, Break Anchor, and Cbj. The Independents are a Horror Punk Ska band that is sure to get you in the mood for Halloween. They have been around since 1992 and shared the stage with bands like Ramones, Cheap Trick, and Misfits. They're currently finishing up a tour that has taken them across the country and back again over the last year. This show is only $10 to get into if you wear a costume or $12 if you don't. For those of you that wear a costume, there will be a costume contest with a $50 gift certificate to Hardline Tattoo Co. as the Grand Prize.

Friday night, if you aren't going to Creepy Cheapy, you HAVE to make it out to see Queens of the Static Age. This Misfits cover band used to be a Halloween ritual, but they have taken a break for a few years. Featuring members of Fordirelifesake, The Suicide Machines, The A-Gang, and more, this band will make you feel like you are seeing the Misfits themselves, but they may be even a little better. Joining them for the night are Can I Say (Dagnasty), also featuring members of The Suicide Machines, The Grande Nationals, and Left In Ruin amongst others, and Rawdogs, who show up dressed to impress and ready to rock out at every show, not just at Halloween. It's only $5 to get in the door and there's not a discount for wearing a costume, but why not? It's Halloween bitches!
