Hip-Hop and Hula Hoops at The Old Miami

The Old Miami is known for two things, a great backyard and hula hoops to play with in that backyard. But, lately they have been booking a lot of shows and are becoming a great place to catch a solid lineup for a low price. It seems that they never charge more than $10 to get in and rarely charge more than $5. They have cheap drinks and really good service; I never have to wait to long for my refill. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite little venues to see a local show at.

This Friday they are bringing in a hip-hop showcase that will feature MOLA1, Self Says, In Fact, Sheefy Mcfly and DJ Frankie Banks. MOLA1 is one of my favorite up and coming Detroit artists and I have heard of, but not seen, the other acts. I decided that this is my opportunity to catch all of them live in the same place, for one low price of $5. You can't beat that! The show starts at 9 p.m. and The Old Miami is located at 3930 Cass Ave. All of these artists have bandcamps or Sound Clouds and some, like In Fact, let you download their EP for free. Check out a few videos by the artists and come see the show on Friday. BOOM!
