October = Time for Some Halloween Fun & Time for Creepy Cheapy!!!

Here at Hip in Detroit we pride ourselves on being able to fill you in on where to find the best parties, restaurants, bands and events in town. We hope to be your one stop shop to everything that is Detroit. This Halloween there are two parties that matter, Theater Bizarre at The Masonic and Creepy Cheapy at The Crofoot. Both are a great time, but Creepy Cheapy is slowly becoming the coolest place to see the coolest bands on Halloween.

The best part about this party, aside from being really fun, is unlike Theatre Bizarre, the tickets are cheap! Theatre Bizarre will run you 70 bucks a ticket, while Cheapy will only run you $5 for general admission and $10 for an enhanced ticket that will put you in the front of the line.

This year the lineup is amazing and features some of our favorite local bands. The lineup for the night includes:

Bars of Gold as Bruce Springsteen
Members of Estuaries, Jamaican Queens and Destroy this Place as Led Zeppelin
Cold Men Young as Bad Boy Entertainment
Pink Lightning as Queen
Bat on Fire as Huey Lewis and the News
Citizen Smile as Katy Perry
The Summer Pledge as Refused
JSB as The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Lauren Deming as Fleetwood Mac
Deastro as Giorgio Moroder
Macrame Tiger as Modest Mouse
The Beggars as Quiet Riot
Group Therapy as The Deftones
The Oscillating Fan Club as The Kinks
CCU as Sade
The Ashleys as Prince
The Kodaks as The Clash
Crash Davis & the Strangers as The Flaming Lips
The Bobby Electric as Queens of the Stone Age

Bahamut as Metallica

In addition to all of these great bands, there are DJs all night long. They are also going to have some games this year, including a fake mustache off and a Candy Eating Contest of Doom. To top it all of they are featuring $3 house beers and $3 specialty cocktails all night!
