The 4th Annual Punk Rock Formal is Around the Corner and You Can Go for FREE!!!

Saturday, February 16th is the 4th Annual Punk Rock Formal at The Magic Stick. It's the one time each year that you have a reason to dress up and head out to the bar. It's surprising how nice some of you clean up too! The guys in Bill Bondsmen go all out every year for this event, from the lineup, to the decorations, to all of the fun festivities that go along with the show. This year will be no different. 

For the 4th Punk Rock Formal, Bill Bondsmen have recruited some great bands to play alongside them, including Break Anchor, RZL DZL, Cinecyde and Daylight Robbery. We couldn't think of a more appropriate and romantic bill. Rumor has it, that there will be 40s for sale at the bar and champagne glasses available to drink them out of. In years past, there was also an area set up for professional photos with your date! All this fun takes place just 2 days after Valentine's Day. So, it's the perfect reason for a date night with your sweetie or a great excuse to ask out that girl that you've had your eye on. It's like the prom, but more fun because you don't have to deal with all of the shitheads you went to school with, you're a grown-up (well, supposedly) and you probably don't look all awkward and have acne. 

Speaking of prom and looking awkward, we want to give you a chance to get into the Punk Rock Formal for FREE! The way to win is by sending us a picture of you from prom, homecoming or some other formal. You don't have to look "awkward" or ridiculous in the photo, but come on, we'll get way more entertainment out of it if you do. You can either post them on our Facebook, tweet them at us or send them to us on instagram with the hashtag #PunkRockFormal for the latter two. If you're a big party pooper and don't want everyone to see your picture, you can email it to us at hipindetroit@gmail.com, but that's not very fun at all. Thanks to the folks over at The Majestic & Magic Stick, we'll be giving away 3 pairs of tickets to this awesome event! We will be announcing the winners the morning of the show, Saturday the 16th. So we're giving you over a week to track down some pics!
