Two New Exhibits Opening At Cranbrook This Friday

Two unique exhibits will be opening at Cranbrook Art Museum this Friday. The first new exhibit is called Hippie Modernism: The Struggle for Utopia. The gallery features experimental furniture, alternative living structures, immersive and participatory media environments, alternative publishing, and experimental film and video" from the 60s and 70s. The exhibit will run from June 18 – October 9, 2016.

The second exhibit is called John Glick: A Legacy in Clay. John Glick works with clay to create unique pottery. His career has spanned over five decades. They will be showing an assortment of ceramic vessels, tableware, and sculptures that he created throughout his career. This show will run from  June 18, 2016 – March 12, 2017.  

The museum is open from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free for ages 12 and under, $12 for general admission, $8 for sixty five and over, and $6 for students. To find out more about the museum and upcoming events, follow Cranbrook online here.
