The Michigan Rib Fest Comes to Pontiac this Weekend

This weekend head to the M1 Concourse in Pontiac for the Michigan Rib Fest! The festival will feature fireworks, music, and of course, a whole lot of ribs! A dozen restaurants and food vendors will come together to cook racks and racks of ribs as well as other BBQ and treats. The list includes Chicken Shack, RUB BBQ and Detroit BBQ Company. You can see the full list of participating vendors here. There will also be beer from local and national brewers and cocktails.

In addition to great food there will be a ton of entertainment. Not only will there be live music, but this fest will also feature racing pigs, racing cars, BMX and skateboard shows, monster trucks and more. There will also be a kids zone with bounce houses and karaoke. And as we mentioned, there will be some great live music! Some of the acts performing this weekend are Zander Michigan, Ryan Dillaha & The Miracle Men, Howling Diablos and DJ Thornstryker. For a full list of musicians that will be playing, click here.

Michigan Rib Fest kicks off on Friday, July 1st and will run through the Fourth of July. General admission tickets are $5 and can be purchased online here. If you get to the fest before 3 p.m., you can get in for just $3. There are also packages available that include tickets as well as fun things like monster truck rides. The festival will open its gates on Friday at 5 p.m. and will run 'til 11 p.m. Hours for the rest of the weekend are as follows: Saturday, Noon-11 p.m.; Sunday, Noon-11 p.m.; Monday, Noon-8 p.m. The fireworks display will happen on Friday night at 10 p.m.
