Win Tickets to See Detroit Legend David Bierman at The Loving Touch

If you were active in the Detroit music scene in the '80s and early '90s, you knew David Bierman. He was the well known lead singer of The Junk Monkeys, who put out some very successful records back in the day on Metal Blade/Warner Bros records. In 1994 he went silent and until recently he hadn't recorded or released any new music. He found his way over to Tempermill Studios and got back on the horse. He got together with a group of well established rockers and recorded some new tracks that eventually became the album that he will be releasing at The Loving Touch this Saturday, October 4th. His band, the David Bierman Overdrive, consists of Jim Faulkner from the BlueFlowers/ Beggars/Sugar Clouds, David Feeny from American Mars/Blanche, Stephan Palmer from High Strung/ Spades, and Kevin Perri from Brian McCarty's Big Bad Beat/ The Dives and The Junk Monkeys.

Cover for the show is only $8 at the door, you also get a copy of the new album for paying the entry fee. The show starts at 9 p.m. and The Loving Touch is located at 22634 Woodward Ave. We also have two sets of tickets to give away to the show courtesy of the band. To enter, please email your full name to hipindetroit@gmail.com with David Bierman in the subject. We will draw 2 winners the morning of the show and email them details on how to claim their prize.
