The Perfect Summer Kick Off Show - Saturday at The Berkley Front

If you like music, you should be at The Berkley Front this Saturday. It really is that simple. There is a great show there that you will kick yourself in the butt for missing later. The lineup for the night is The Hand in the Ocean, Ryan Allen and Jack & Ace.

First off, The Hand in the Ocean will get you in the mood for summer. Their banjo filled tunes will make you want to head out to the woods or sit around a campfire. The band plans on playing a new song Saturday night too, but if you want to check out their older music, head over to their bandcamp here.

Also on the lineup is Ryan Allen. You all know Ryan from his many projects, like Destroy This Place and Thunderbirds Are Now! It has been a few years since he has played solo, but he is ready to show off some new songs that will be featured on an upcoming album. Ryan also has tracks online that you can check out on his bandcamp here.

To top things off, Jack & Ace is a duo made up of Bob Nanna from Braid and Lauren LoPiccolo. Their songs mix all sorts of styles with some having a summery feel and others more melancholy. There's a whole slew of tracks available for free download through, you guessed it, their bandcamp. You can pick them up and check them out here.

It will only cost you $5 to get in the door this weekend and it should be a pretty laid back night full of great music. Doors open at 9 p.m. with Ryan Allen kicking things off at 10. The Berkley Front is located at 3087 W. 12 Mile in Berkley. For more information on this show, check out the Facebook event page here.
