The Palmer Park Art Fair is Back!

This weekend you have a chance to check out some great art while being a part of the resurgence of an art fair that hasn't happened in over 30 years. The Palmer Park Art Fair will feature a ton of different artists selling their work among the trees and pond at the park. In addition to the art for sale, there will be many different demonstrations from artists, including glass blowing and street art. There will even be a hands on areas so you can create your own work of art.

Not only will this fair feature great artists, both local and travelling, but there will also be food and drinks. An Italian food truck will be on site as well as Jackson Five Star Catering. Plus, there will even be a Martini Bar serving up Michigan made drinks and beer from Motor City Brewery! On top of all of that, Palmer Park has over 300 acres of land for you to explore. So, it sounds like this art fair has something for everyone!

Admission to the Palmer Park Art Fair is free, but you can make donations to help bring back this amazing park in Detroit. Members of The People for Palmer Park group will be on site as well. So, if you would like more info on this park or want to find out how you can help with its revitalization, this is your chance to find out how to get involved! Palmer Park is located at 19021 Woodward in Detroit. The art fair runs from 10-6 on Saturday and Noon-5 on Sunday. For more info on this event, visit their website here.
