Awesome Jarvis & The Whales CD Relase Show Tonight at PJ's Lager House!

Tonight's the night! Fans of Detroit Rockers Awesome Jarvis & The Whales can finally get their hands on the band's first full length album. Ride The Whale is being released on Funky D Records, which is headed by Tino Gross of The Howling Diablos. In celebration of the new album, the band will be hitting the stage at PJ's Lager House Friday night with Mega Weedge and Woven Tangles.

Awesome Jarvis is a five piece funky garage rock band fronted by Chris Tomko on vocals, Bryan Wietecha and Ben Kay on guitar, Emily Wietecha on Bass and Drummer Phil Giannotta. The band has only been around since the Summer of 2012, but in their year and a half of existence they have managed to put out an EP entitled Worse Things Have Happened and play numerous shows around town with bands like The Royal Blackbirds, Fires In Japan, Silent Lions and The ILL Itches. If you want to get a feel for this band's sound, check them out on Reverbnation here. They only have songs from their EP up on there though! So if you want to hear songs off of the new album, you'll have to head out to the Lager House tonight!

Doors will open at 8 p.m. and it's only $5 to get in the door. Funky D Records' own Linda Lexy will be your hostess for the evening. For more info on this show, head over to the Facebook event page here. To hear a special message from Chris on why you should go to this show, watch the video below.
