A Night of Moonshine & Music Presented by Ole Smoky

Moonshine to many is a drink of the past. The strong booze was made by rebels years ago in bathtubs and whiskey barrels. Up until recently the only talk of Moonshine was in stories about our elders getting wacky off "the hooch". Well, in the last few years this drink has grown in popularity, with people beginning to make their own and now there are even a handful of companies producing this drink. It's becoming more and more common to see mason jars of assorted Moonshine at your corner liquor store or even in the booze aisle at big box stores like Target.

Although there are quite a few Moonshine producers popping up, one that we have been hearing a lot about is Ole Smoky. Distilled in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, this brand is growing in popularity and showing up in bars across the country. If you haven't tried it yet, it's time that you do. In fact, this Thursday at The Loving Touch is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Thursday night Ole Smoky Moonshine is throwing an event called Shine on Locals. This is the second time that Ole Smoky has taken over The LT and they plan to do it every month. There will be infused Moonshine shot specials, the Ole Smoky girls will be handing out free swag, and there will be live music from The Vonneguts and Double Weirdo. Entry is completely free and the fun starts at 10 p.m.

So, tell your boss you'll be in late on Friday and head out to The Loving Touch on Thursday night for some fun! For more details on this event, visit the Facebook event page here.
