Berserker IV Feature - S.N.A.F.U.

S.N.A.F.U. has definitely become a hometown favorite around Detroit. The Hardcore Thrash band's acronym actually stands for Situation Normal All Fucked Up. The guys' latest album Present Day Plague was released back in 2015. Since then, they've been playing a ton of shows around Detroit and on the road, and now they have some new tunes in the works. They actually just released a new music video for their song "Death Trip" off their latest album. Check that out below.

You can check out S.N.A.F.U. live at Berserker this Friday night, April 14th. To get you ready for their set, we sent over the same batch of questions that we've been asking all of the bands on the fest. Check out their responses below.

HID- What two words best describe your band?

HID- Why should people check out your set at Berserker?
SNAFU- "Although Detroit is our home town, I still feel like a lot of people have still yet to hear/see us."

HID- What’s the best part about playing a fest like this?
SNAFU- "Berserker is great, it's not put on by a giant production company like Live Nation etc. It is just a small time husband and wife's dream of what their ideal fest would be brought to life. Shawn and Veronica are excellent and take a huge risk doing this every year, but here we are year number 4 and mother f*cking GWAR is headlining."

HID- Are you looking forward to checking out any of the other bands on the fest?
SNAFU- "Oh yes absolutely, GWAR of course, it will be sweet to hang with the EHG guys again, I haven't seen OFF! in about 4 years so that will be exciting, home town legends and a huge inspiration Negative Approach, killer local support this year too, Nuke, NightKin, Against The Grain, Hollow Earth, Sweat, Sunlight's Bane."

HID- For those Berserker goers that might not have heard your band before, name one of your songs that they should definitely check out.
SNAFU- "Definitely check out "Eternal Nocturnal" off our latest album Present Day Plague."

HID- The lineup for this year’s Berserker is pretty epic. If you could have any four bands headline a fest, who would you pick?
SNAFU- "Oh man this is a tough one... hmmm... Suicidal Tendencies, Slayer, Bad Religion, and Municipal Waste...? I don't know, I think that would be pretty rad."

HID- When you’re out on tour, what are three things that you must have with you?
SNAFU- " #1 Gold Bond #2 activities for down time (example: books, sudoku, baseball/gloves, skateboard, frisbee.) #3 Madonna cassettes"

HID- What else should people know before they check out your band at Berserker?
SNAFU- "Um I guess if you've never heard of us and you like an intense combination of thrash metal, hardcore punk rock, and grind come check us out!"
