Berserker IV Feature - Against the Grain

Anyone that follows Hip in Detroit knows that Against the Grain is one of our hometown favorites. That's why you want to make sure you get to Berserker early on Saturday to see them play at 7:30 on the main stage in The Crofoot Ballroom. We guarantee that this band will put on one of the most energetic and rockin' shows of the entire weekend!

ATG is currently working on their latest full length before they head out on the road again. Give a few songs from their latest album Road Warriors a listen below, then read ahead to find out what these guys had to say in response to our questions.

HID- What two words best describe your band?
Against the Grain- "Rock-n-fuckin roll"

HID- Why should people check out your set at Berserker?
Against the Grain- "We're gonna kick off Saturday night with some loud body groovin' Rock n Roll to get your feet tappin', juices flowin' and ears bleeding."

HID- What’s the best part about playing a fest like this?
Against the Grain- "Diverse crowd and tons of new faces."

HID- Are you looking forward to checking out any of the other bands on the fest?
Against the Grain- "Most! Getting to rock with The Obsessed puts us to the point where we've gotten to play with all 3 of Winos great bands, pretty stoked about that."

HID- For those Berserker goers that might not have heard your band before, name one of your songs that they should definitely check out.
Against the Grain- "Check out our new video for "Pendulum"."

HID- The lineup for this year’s Berserker is pretty epic. If you could have any four bands headline a fest, who would you pick?
Against the Grain- "Zeke, Turbonegro, High on Fire and Blue Oyster Cult"

HID- When you’re out on tour, what are three things that you must have with you?
Against the Grain- "Naked pictures of Angela Lansbury, a football helmet filled w cottage cheese and stool softener."

HID- What else should people know before they check out your band at Berserker?
Against the Grain- "We've been a hard-touring band for the last 7 years. 850+ dates and 4 full length albums, and we're just getting started. Come rock the fuck out with us!"
