Hit the Pavement in Pontiac this Weekend

There's a new bike ride in town and it's not the Slow Roll that you're familiar with. It's called Fast Cat and it takes place a little ways up I-75 in Pontiac.

The Pontiac Fast Cat is a monthly ride through the streets of Pontiac. People meet at the Vernors Room at The Crofoot and ride the designated course at their own speed. You can ride as fast or as slow as you'd like. But, the ride kicks off at 6 p.m. and drinking is set to start promptly at 7 back at the Vernors Room. Plus it sounds like the first three people back will get bandannas. So that's two good reasons to speed things up a bit! Plus, after the ride is over there is live music! The first time around the always awesome Bars of Gold played. For the second round the band has not yet been announced, but the flyer hints to a surprise performance. Who could it be???

If you'd like to see find out who is playing and ride some bikes through Pontiac, head to the Vernors Room this Sunday, June 28th. The ride starts at 6, but people will start meeting up around 5 p.m. All ages are welcome to ride. You can hit the streets alone, in a group with your pals, or this week there will also be a slower "kitten" group roll. To check out the route and for more details on this event, head over to Fast Cat's Facebook page here.
