Next week the Lager House is playing host to another great show. This is always a great place to catch a show, but lately it has been one great lineup after another. Wednesday, April 9th the rockin' trio Tweens will be heading to town from Cincinnati and hitting the stage with Jaill from Milwaukee and Detroit's own Radio Burns.
Tweens has only been around for about two years now, but their sound has attracted a lot of attention. They recently toured with The Breeders and are now out on the road in support of a full length being released this month. You can check out some of their tunes here.
After listening to a few tracks from Jaill, we would describe them as poppy stoner rock. They also have a new album Traps on SubPop Records. You can listen to some tracks from Jaill on Soundcloud here.
And, if you haven't listened to us about Radio Burns yet, you're really missing out. We caught them again this past weekend at The Old Miami. This band just gets better every time we see them! They have a couple of songs that you can download for free on their bandcamp. Definitely one of our favorite new bands to come of Detroit lately!
Admission to this show is $10 and doors open at 9 p.m. Lucky for you, we are giving away a couple of sets of tickets! All you have to do to enter is email your name to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure you put Tweens in the subject line so we know what contest you are entering. We will draw our winners the morning of the show!
