Fools Fest @The Loving Touch

Back in the day Christie and I used to book a few shows a year, but we always had a little twist to get people in the door. We had a few friends that were into designing some crazy clothes and we asked them to have models walk in those clothes in-between the bands that we had booked. We called these shows “Fashion Fests” and got a great response. What guy doesn't like looking at hot women strut around while the band is loading on and off stage? What lady doesn't like to check out fashion while out at a show, especially if they could purchase some of those wears after? It was a perfect fit, to say the least. We weren't the first ones to come up with the idea, but we found a way to really make it work.

I was excited to see that someone else has picked this up and is making it work at The Loving Touch this weekend. Detroit Motor Apparel is debuting their new line and calling the event “Fools Fest” on Saturday night. Music will be played by Laura Finlay, Dalinian, Le Voyage, YUM, She Bears, Silent Lions, and George Morris & The Gypsy Chorus. Detroit Motor Apparel will also be releasing their spring line that night.

The doors open at 8 p.m. and the bands start at 9. Make sure to get there early because the first 50 people through the door get a free shirt courtesy of Detroit Motor Apparel and the first 200 get a DMA beer cozy. The Loving Touch is located at 22634 Woodward Ave. in Ferndale. $5 gets you in the door and 21 and over are welcome. To learn more about Detroit Motor Apparel visit there website here.
