No Quarters Needed at The Michigan Pinball Expo!

Get your flippers ready! The Michigan Pinball Expo is coming up again this weekend! This annual event takes place at Oakland University and is the largest of its kind. The expo features over 125 pinball machines that attendees can get their hands on and play for free with admission.

Us gals at Hip In Detroit headed out to the expo for the first time a couple of years ago and it was a blast! The super fun part about this event is that even if you are not a "pinball wizard" per say, you aren't running through a ton of quarters because your ball keeps just falling between the flippers. It doesn't matter! You just get to keep playing! The even better thing about this event is that if you are an amazing pinball expert, there are tons of machines there! So you are bound to be challenged by at least one. Plus, there are even tournaments that you can compete in for an small additional fee.

The Michigan Pinball Expo is held in the Oakland Center at Oakland University located at 2200 N. Squirrel Rd. in Rochester, MI. It runs from Thursday, April 3rd thru Sunday, April 6th. The hours are from 8 a.m. 'til Midnight on everyday except Sunday which just runs until 5 p.m. That's 57 hours of fun! Admission is $20/day for adults, $15 for kids ages 4-15 and students with a valid student ID, and children under 4 are free. This is a very family friendly event too! So it's the perfect excuse for the whole family to head out. But if you aren't a family man or lady, you will have a blast too! For more info on the Michigan Pinball Expo head to MIPinball.com or check out the video below from our first visit to the event. Keep in mind it's a couple of years old so some of the info and prices have changed a bit, but it still gives you the general idea.
