Polka Dots, Stuffed Animals, Music & Food All In One Place!

Photo Borrowed from: Facebook.com/HeidelbergProject
One of the wonderful landmarks of Detroit that we all love to visit and show our out of town friends is The Heidelberg Project. Stuffed toys, polka dots and other novelties transform several blocks into art, rather than abandoned homes. It is a truly awesome thing to see and if you have never been down there before, the time has come.

Saturday, August 11th The Heidelberg Project is hosting their 9th Biennial Festival - Detroit's Got Talent. This event, featuring food, music, art and entertainment, will be taking over the streets throughout the Project from Noon - 8 p.m. Some of Detroit's favorite food trucks will be on hand along side some great musicians, including Patrick Davy and the Ghosts, Kate Monaghan, Ideeyah and YRLK. There will also be theatrical performances and a kids corner with storytelling, face painting and arts & crafts.

There are a bunch of other great activities and attractions in addition to those listed above. For a full rundown on the Biennial Festival visit their websiteor The Heidelberg Project's Facebook page. For directions to The Heidelberg Project, click here.
