Sunday Brunch at Café Muse

There is nothing like brunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon. The Mimosas, Bloody Marys and hot coffees are poured while tales of the crazy shit each person did last night are told. Ah brunch, my favorite meal!

This Sunday a group of ladies and myself had an amazing brunch at Cafe Muse in Royal Oak. So, I thought I would share my thoughts on this lovely place with all of you.

Cafe Muse describes itself as "comfort food with a twist". Chef Greg Reyner is known for his unique combinations and flavors. The menu is separated into categories, such as sweet and savory, and features items such as a Smoked Salmon Scramble with Gruyere & Chives or an Exotic Mushroom Scramble with Boursin Cheese & Truffle Oil.

The Mimosas are smooth and served in a fancy long stem glasses, while the Bloody Marys are incredibly spicy and served with a zesty pickle.

Opened in 2006, this restaurant has made quite a name for itself. It was featured on the Oprah show for its one of a kind grilled cheese and here in Detroit it just won the Metro Detroit award for Best Brunch 2012.

The eggs ranged from $8 to $12. Drinks were $8 to $10. It is a bit pricier then going to Coney Island, but once you bite into a Fingerling Potato or take a swig of a Mimosa you won't regret dropping a few extra bucks for a meal this good!

Happy eating!
