Brightly Twisted Officially Opens in Corktown this Thursday!

Brightly Twisted is Michigan's purveyor of hand dyed wearable pieces of art. The company began their journey selling scarves at local art fairs and branched out into making pieces for high end retailers like Nordstrom, before they decided to take their biggest step yet by opening a retail space in the heart of Corktown. After years of working and selling out of their dye house in Livonia, they decided to uproot their entire operation to take part in the resurgence of the City of Detroit. They wanted to create a retail space where clients could come by to see how everything is made and try on their latest line in person. This means that you can watch the team hand dye the clothing and accessories that they sell while you are shopping in the store.

This Thursday, October 18th, the Michigan based brand will be opening a new retail space in Corktown where they will begin the next step of their journey as a Detroit based company. The new boutique will feature the brand's entire line of clothing, including their new Fall pieces. It will also play host to a variety of local companies that will also be selling their locally made items inside their space. This includes plants from Blumz by JRDesigns, Photography from Joe Gall, and they will even be carrying shirts from Hip in Detroit!

The store officially opens at 3 p.m. on Thursday and the opening party starts at 6 p.m. The opening day party will feature a DJ from the Handgrenades, and food and drinks from local eateries, including Cork & Gable, Ottava Via, and Nemo's. Their will even be a Brightly Twisted signature cocktail for everyone over 21 to try!

The new retail space is located at 1416 Michigan Avenue and it will eventually be open regular hours throughout the week. They will also be hosting dye classes in the store after hours. To learn more about the classes click here
