During the holiday season a lot of us look for cool ways to give back. I have already donated gloves, hats, scarves and socks at a number of events this year. But, I recently found out that there are two really important things that a lot of less fortunate ladies need, but have a hard time getting their hands on. Those two items are tampons and bras.
Imagine not being able to afford hygiene products and going without, it seems unfathomable to a lot of us. For many women this is their reality. So, I researched a great organization in Maryland that helps women get access to both of those things. Support the Girls collects bras and feminine hygiene products and distributes them to those in need. So far the organization has distributed 75,000 bras and 177,000 feminine hygiene products in the last year. They want to increase that number in 2017.
