Nike Detroit Opening this Thursday!

Nike is officially embracing Detroit! They are opening a huge new location inside the historic F.W. Woolworth Co. building in Detroit this Thursday, May 26th. To celebrate the store's opening they are inviting everyone in to see the new space.

They will be holding group workouts, basketball, and a youth run throughout the opening week. All activities will take place inside or around the store and events of the day will be hosted by Dennis van Oosanen, VP of North America Retail, and Michigan State University Coach and Basketball Hall of Famer Tom Izzo, who will be joined by MSU’s beloved Mascot Sparty.

The new store hopes to give back to Detroit by hiring most of its workforce from a five mile radius of the store and by carrying locally sourced goods and products wherever they can.
The grand opening will take place at 10 a.m. this Thursday and will be followed up by a group workout in the evening on Friday. They will have basketball for all ages and a community youth run on Saturday, visit the store for more details!

The new Nike store is located at 1261 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.
