Hip in Detroit Sits Down With Ancient Language and Talks New Album

For the last four years we have been raving about local musical genius Christopher Jarvis. When we first met Chris he was working on music for Phantasmagoria and playing live with James Linck. Then, when Phantasmagoria ended he launched a solo project called Ancient language. But this project only remained a solo effort for awhile. Soon he joined forces with his brother Zachariah. Then, after playing a set as Sufjan Steven at this year's Detroit X Detroit party, he officially announced that Ancient Language would start performing as a full four piece band. They also announced that they recorded a new full length album that they would be performing live this Saturday!

This Saturday, May 14th Ancient Language will be performing Everyone Forgives Everyone for Everything alongside James Linck and Mega Powers aka Eddie Logix and and Pig Pen. We received the new album a few weeks ago and we can't stop listening to it. It is by far Chris' best work yet! We liked what he was doing four years ago, but man, he has grown so much! You can check out the first single "Alive Tonight" here. You can also here "93 Million Miles" here

We met up with the new four piece band and interviewed them about the new lineup and the new album. Check out what they had to say and make sure to head up to the Marble Bar this Saturday, this is one album release party that you do not want to miss!
