Red Bull House of Art Presents: Friends of Friends Exhibit

This Friday The Red Bull House of Art will open its first exhibit of 2016. The space will also be celebrating its fifth year bringing an artistic community back to the Motor City. This gallery will feature the work of some of their previous artists as well as the work of those artists' friends. There are 37 artists in total, the shows lineup includes Ben Saginaw, Amber Locke, Franklin Jones, James Kwaitkowski, Michelle Tanguay, Camila Pardo, Robb DiMaria, Jordan Grant, Dino Valdez, Maggie Nguyen, Sydney James, Rhea Gregory, Lamar Landers, Craig Paul Nowak, Topher Crowder, Ellen Rutt, Patrick Ethen, Ty Sawyer, Dan DeMaggio, Carolyn Weber, Kelsey Beckett, Lisa Poszywak, Kevin McCoy, Brian Lacey, Marlo Broughton, Michael Eugene Burdick, James Noellert, Paula Zammit, Amy Fell, Nick Jaskey, Christian Jay Sienkiewicz, Rashaun Rucker, Kelly Ohara, Tiff Massey, Cuppetelli & Mendoza, Brach Goodman and Andrea del Rio.
RBHO also announced that they will be expanding their artisan ­residency program. This year they will be welcoming artists from around the world to come to Detroit for three month residencies. Each residency will welcome a group of three different artists who will get to take in all that Detroit has to offer. At the end of their residencies, they will have a show featuring all of the work that they create while they are here.

This Friday's open will run from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. If you miss the showing you can visit the gallery from 10 a.­m. 'til 3 p.m. every Saturday,
