Five Questions with Parlour Tricks

If you attended the Flint Eastwood Small Victories album release party you may have caught the opening band, Parlour Tricks. At first I thought they were a very odd choice for the show, but when they started playing I found myself dancing and enjoying their sounds. They had a really great sound and amazing harmonies.
They will be coming back through Michigan this week to play in Ann Arbor so we reached out to ask them a few questions to get to know them a little better before the show. Check out what they had to say and give their latest music video a look. We have a feeling you will also like what you hear. If you do, consider heading up to the Blind Ping in Ann Arbor on Saturday or Bell's Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo to see them on Sunday!

HID- Describe your sound in three words for someone who has never heard of you before.
PT- "Your worst nightmare. Just kidding. I dunno. Harmony-laden rock? I can do better than that, gimme a minute."

HID- When and where did you record your album Broken Heart/Bones?
PT- "In Nashville at Black River Studios, over the course of about a year and a half."

HID- What do you miss most about "home" when you are on tour?
PT- "Vegetables."

HID- You have played a lot of big festivals, which was your favorite and why?
PT- "Bonnaroo 2015. We "opened" the festival, and the crowd was fresh and excited to get the party started."

HID- Why should someone come out and see you when you come to their town?
PT- "GOOD QUESTION. We want you to have a good time. A really good time. We just wanna make you dance and sweat and laugh and go home happy, OK?"
