See "Fury Road" in a Theatre One More Time

It has been nominated for 10 Oscars and people have been talking about it for months now. Mad Max: Fury Road came out back in May of 2015 and instantly was the talk of the town. A movie that some thought would be a flop or would just have a cult following was being seen over and over again by movie goers and now it has been nominated for numerous awards, including Best Picture at the Oscars.

The first Mad Max film came out back in 1979 and starred Mel Gibson. This new movie stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. It's the story of, "A woman [that] rebels against a tyrannical ruler in postapocalyptic Australia in search for her home-land with the help of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshipper, and a drifter named Max." Check out the trailer below.

This weekend you have the chance to see Fury Road on the silver screen at the Main Art Theatre as part of their Midnight Madness series. The Midnight Madness series normally just features classics or cult favorites. So the fact that they are showing this film after it has been out for less than a year, goes to show how big of a movie it is! Tickets for Mad Max are only $7 and can be purchased in advance here. The movie will be shown on both Friday, January 29th and Saturday, January 30th. For more information on this movie and other Midnight Madness showings, click here

The Main Art Theatre is located at 118 N. Main Street in Royal Oak.
