Seven giant blocks of ice were delivered around downtown Detroit this past Wednesday. Big Daddy Dan has invited Ice Creations from Ohio to come to Detroit to carve seven classic cars into the the ice. The carving has begun and is scheduled to be finished by this weekend to coincide with the kick off of the North American International Auto Show, which will run from January 11th through 24th. They are going to be carving up some new styles and some special classics including a 1957 Chevy Nomad, a 1961 Chrysler 300G and a 1966 Ford Mustang. You an spot the sculptures in various locations, including The Chase Building and 1 Campus Martius. Make sure to give yourself a little extra time if you head downtown this weekend so you can check the sculptures out for yourself!
