Walk In Theater Kicks Off the 2014 Season!

Dare we say that the weather in Metro Detroit has been perfect lately? It seems as though Summer is here and everyone is in the mood to spend their days and nights outdoors. This Tuesday night there is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a beautiful night outside under the stars in Detroit. That's because it is the first Walk In Theater of the season.

Walk In Theater is a weekly movie night held at Peck Park in Detroit. On Tuesday, June 10th the movie of the week is Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This 1970s Steven Spielberg flick stars Richard Dreyfuss alongside some aliens and UFOs. The movies vary quite a bit from week to week. That's because they often let the public choose what will be shown. If there is a movie that you want to see at the park, just let the organizers know on Facebook here. However, if you choose a movie, you must bring that movie to the park and help with set up and clean up.

Peck Park is located a block behind the DIA at Kirby and Brush. For more details on Walk In Theater, add them on Facebook or check out the Facebook event page here.
