Fun Times at The Flint Family BBQ! (VIDEOS)

This past weekend Flint Eastwood took over The Crofoot and threw the perfect bash to crossover from Spring to Summer. The Flint Family BBQ featured 8 great bands on 2 stages along with food and games. This was the first year the band hosted the event, but we're  hoping this becomes an annual thing.

Throughout the day BBQ-ers were entertained by a slew of great Detroit area acts, including a few of our favorites like George Morris & The Gypsy Chorus and Blaire Alise & The Bombshells.
With two stages going, the music was non-stop. This was a great chance for us to check out some bands we've been hearing a buzz about and for Flint Eastwood fans to see what other great talent is out there. Although we didn't get to catch everyone on the bill, those that we did see all put on great sets, including Monument, Monument, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, Rival Summers, and (of course) Flint Eastwood. It had only been about a month since we saw Flint Eastwood, but somehow they were even better than the last time around. The band's energy was contagious and the addition of the videos in the background made for an even more entertaining show than before.

We had the privilege to catch up with Jax from Flint Eastwood once again as well as with George Morris, but this time with most of The Gypsy Chorus. Check out those videos below to see what's new with them. We were also thrilled to finally chat with Blaire Alise about the band, what she has going on, and her new album For My Darlin'. Take a listen to what she had to say, then give the new album a listen by clicking here.

And last, but definitely far from least, we were able to catch a brand new song from Flint Eastwood's set. They brought all the guns out for this one with a video backdrop and an orchestra! We're thrilled that we captured it on camera and we hope you like what you hear. If so, the next time you can catch them live is at the MO POP Festival at Freedom Hill on July 12th. You can get more details on that here.

Props to Flint Eastwood for putting together such a huge event and for throwing such an awesome party!
