Pop Up Yoga

In my quest to get healthy and get in shape I am always looking for something new to try and when I come across something interesting, I like to share it with our readers. The newest trend to come to Detroit is Pop Up Yoga.

These new donation-based workout classes are located at the atrium of the Fisher Building, the main floor of New Center One, SocraTea and Fourteen-Eighty Gratiot Gallery. They are asking for a $10 donation, but will take whatever you can afford and they will not turn people away. For the full schedule and new locations check here.
To learn more about the classes, you can attend the kick off party Saturday, January 5th at the Tangent Gallery from 6-9. This event will feature music from DJ Brandon Audette and snacks from one of our favorite restaurants, Green Dot Stables. They will also have a cash bar for those that want to enjoy a drink before they book some workouts. This event is a suggested $10 donation, but just like the classes, no one will get turned away at the door. Tangent Gallery is located at 715 East Milwaukee Street Detroit, MI 48202.
