Congrats to Kaleido!

This past Friday at The Magic Stick, Kaleido unleashed their first EP onto the world and began a whirlwind weekend that included lead singer Christina Chriss preforming on stage Saturday night with Paradime during the Big Sean show and flying out to NYC Monday morning to be on Shade 45 and open a new club in the city. The show was packed! They had two opening acts and a DJ to play inbetween sets and get the crowd ready for Kaledio to take the stage at around 11 p.m. that night. They played for well over an hour and spent another hour and half signing autographs, taking pictures and meeting with their fans.

We were lucky enough to get invited back stage while the band was getting ready to catch up with our friends before they took the stage. There was an air of excitement and nervous energy in the room; after all they had been waiting for this moment for "27 years" as one of the members pointed out. This is a band that is just beginning their journey and we are so happy to be part of it.

We got a chance to discuss where they have been, where they are going and me and Christina’s obsession with Sally Hansen nail decals (you catch her doing her own nails and hair before the show, no divas here). Kudos to the band for killing it on stage and Kristina for looking amazing in that skeleton backed shirt ( I need one!). Check out what they had to say and make sure to download the new self-titled EP on iTunes!
