The 9th Annual Urban Craft Fair Takes Place this Weekend

This weekend Handmade Detroit will take over The Masonic Temple for the 9th Annual Urban Craft Fair. This event is the largest gathering of handmade and DIY goods in Michigan and features some of the coolest shit you will ever find. I have said it before and I will say it again, this is not your mother's craft fair. You will be able to find something for every person on your list, including those hard to shop for friends and family members. There are so many unique and one of a kind items, every year they bring in new vendors and I find something that I have never seen before.

It's only $1 to get in and children ages 12 and under are free. This year's vendors will be featuring jewelry, craft food, photography, ceramics, gift wrapping services, bath products, handmade prints, children's items, warm knits, clothing and accessories, unique home goods and more. DJ Dave Lawson will be spinning music throughout the event and the first 50 people through the door on Saturday will get a goodie bag. The Shimmy Shack will also be in house serving up food and drinks.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m on Sunday, Dec. 7th. The Masonic Temple is located at 500 Temple Street in Detroit. It's a fun way to shop local, support DIY, and get your X-mas shopping done.
