Repeal Day Party at Public House

Lately the craft cocktail has taken over the drinking world and the competition to make the best cocktails in Detroit is in full swing. Drinking has become a huge part of our lives and the culture of Detroit, it's hard to imagine that from 1920 to 1933 alcohol was illegal in the U.S. For 13 years it was illegal to drink alcohol in this country, so you can imagine how big of a party was thrown the day prohibition was lifted. This year we celebrate the 81st anniversary of the repeal of prohibition in the United States.
The party will take place at Public House which is known for its exceptionally good cocktails. They are working with Valentine Distilling Co. to serve up a secret menu of special locally made and crafted cocktails for one night only. It's time to break out your fanciest flapper dress and polish up your best dancing shoes to celebrate with them this Friday, December 5th. They will be playing vintage movies throughout the night and 1930s era clothing and dress is totally encouraged. The drinks start flowing at 6 p.m. this Friday. Cheers!
