Monroe Market Opens in Greektown Casino Today

Did you know that Greektown Casino has a restaurant/cafeteria on the third floor? Yeah, neither did we. Which is probably why Greektown spent somewhere around $15 Million renovating it into a place where you can grab a variety of food from 7 different restaurants, some of which are open 24 hours a day!

We had the opportunity to check the space out before it opened and we are pleased to say that the multi-million dollar project is a nice addition to the casino and the City of Detroit. We had no idea what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised to find a state of the art dining space that features everything from hamburgers to high end ramen.

Each one of the restaurants has a different theme and a different menu, this includes Josephine Bakery, a pastry shop that features baked goods, gelato and coffee from the Great Lakes Roasting company. Tia Loca features Mexican fare, including burrito bowls and five different varieties of salsa. Then, there is the American Burger Bar which features hamburgers and hot dogs, including the now famous vegan impossible burger, and The Southern Fry which features all things fried including mac & cheese and collard greens. Basil Leaf Pizza can cook you up a pie covered in chicken wings in under 60 seconds in their 900° oven and Pit Boss serves up all the smoked meat your heart could desire. Finally, Noodle Art, a full service restaurant and bar, rounds out the market with Japanese style rice and noodle bowls and signature cocktails.

Most of the restaurants will be open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily with American Burger Bar and Josephine Bakery staying open 24 hours a day. The market is also planning to offer online orders for people who want to pop in and pop out. The Market is a great reason for gamblers and non-gamblers alike to stop by Greektown the next time they are hungry.
