Head to Punch Bowl Social this Holiday Season

If you're looking for a fun place with great food to get together with friends this holiday season, you have to check out Punch Bowl Social! Located on Broadway in Downtown Detroit, this establishment offers bowling, games, and private karaoke rooms with great food and drinks, in a super stylish setting. We have been big fans of this place for awhile now and this week we had a chance to check out Punch Bowl's new menu, launched just in time for the holidays!
One of the coolest additions to this new menu are the "Big Baller Platters". These platters are meant to serve 3-4 people. Options include the "Maine Squeeze" featuring Lobster Rolls, "The King of Infinite Space" featuring Caviar, "Dawgy Style" and "A Colonel of Truth", which we were lucky enough to try out. This platter featured a bucket of fried chicken, coleslaw, pickles, and biscuits with jam. Everything was super tasty, and it was definitely enough food for four people.

Since we were sampling though, we didn't stop there! We also tried three appetizers, Sriracha Peanut Fries, House Bologna Tea Sandwiches, and Hugh's Pimento Cheese with Bacon Marmalade. All of these choices were delicious, but the crowd favorite was definitely the Sriracha Fries; spicy, sweet and savory all at once. Last, but certainly not least, we tried the Autumn Pot Roast. It was one of the best things I have ever ate, ever. It was served with whipped sweet potatoes and roasted vegetables, and I am still dreaming about it days later. If you can only try one of the things on the menu, make it this! But, we suggest you follow our lead and order a few menu items to share. While you are there, don't forget to also get Punch Bowl Social's specialty, a punch bowl, to share with the table. They have a long list of great craft cocktails too! We also highly suggest sitting in the Holiday Lodge if it's available. The decor is awesome and there's a fireplace that you can get cozy by.

Punch Bowl Social is open Sunday thru Wednesday until Midnight and is open until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. On top of their amazing dinner menu, they also feature brunch on the weekends.
