Ride the Streets of Corktown with Wheelhouse Detroit

It looks like the warmer weather might finally be here, so it's time to bust out your bike and hit the pavement. This Sunday is the perfect day to do that! The weather is supposed to be beautiful and Wheelhouse Detroit is hosting an awesome ride through Corktown.

Once a month through September Wheelhouse will host this bike tour, with the first one of the year happening this Sunday, April 17th. The tour will take you on a 10 mile trip through Corktown while one of their guides gives you some history lessons and points all of the sights out to you. Some things you can expect to see while rolling through the streets are Victorian homes, urban farms, Most Holy Trinity, Ponyride, the site of Tiger Stadium, Michigan Central Station and Roosevelt Park. The ride will last about 3 hours and they will even stop at St. Cece's to get a bite to eat.

Tickets for the Corktown Bike Tour are $30 and can be purchased in advance here. If you don't have a bike or you don't feel like hauling it to Corktown, there is also an option to rent a bike for the tour. Those tickets are $40. The ride is set to start at Noon and takes off from Wheelhouse Detroit (1340 Atwater St. in Detroit). For more info on this event click here.
