The Russell Industrial Center Opens its Doors to the Public this Saturday

The Russell Industrial Center in Detroit is home to over 140 artists, small film and recording studios, radio stations and much much more. The multi building facility has been home to many different business throughout the last 100 years. These days it is the home to some of Detroit's best creative minds.

The Saturday, September 19th the Russell Industrial Center is opening up the exterior of its campus to all amateur photographers that want to take their shot at getting some good photos of the iconic Detroit facility. The center will be open to the public for photos from 3 p.m until 10 p.m. this Saturday. Need a cool Detroit space to shoot a album cover or some artsy photos? This is your chance to do it at the Russell!
Later in the day, the artists within The Russell will be opening the doors to their studios. From 5 p.m. 'til midnight the same day, the Russell will be open for public tours, art demonstrations, and an art sale.

Never before has the Russell opened its doors to the public like this. This will be a unique look inside of what many consider to be a mecca for art and the artistic community of Detroit.
The Russel Industrial Center is located at 1600 Clay Street in Detroit.
