See the Most Famous Shower Scene of All Time This Weekend!

Since 1960 no one has looked at a shower in the same way, especially if that shower happens to be in a motel. That is the year that Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Psycho was released, featuring the oh so famous shower slasher scene.

Starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, this film tells the story of a crooked secretary and an unhinged inn keeper. In true Hitchcock style, the film has a somewhat normal plot with an eerie feeling throughout it, and then a twist at the end. Hitchcock was the master of making creepy films without all of the blood and guts that present day thrillers have. He played on the viewers' emotions and used camera angles and suspense to instill fear in his audience. Psycho is one of the best examples of his work and definitely one of his most famous pieces.

This weekend you have a chance to watch Hitchcock's Masterpiece, Psycho, on the big screen. Royal Oak's Main Art Theatre will be showing the film as part of their Midnight Madness series this Friday and Saturday at Midnight. Tickets are only $7 per person. It's not uncommon for these movies to sell out, so you may want to pick your tickets up ahead of time here.

Royal Oak's Landmark Main Art Theatre is located at 118 N. Main St. in Royal Oak. For more info on their Midnight Madness series, click here. To stay in the loop on all the happenings at the Main Art, be sure to head over and "like" them on Facebook too.
