Sometimes All You Need Is A " Simple Answer"

This Saturday At Willoughby will be playing at the Magic Stick as part of a Shadow and Honey Showcase that will also feature Warhorses, The Walking Beat, and The Paper Sound. They want all of you to attend so they are releasing a special song to get you geeked for the show. The name of the song is "Simple Answers". We wanted to give you a chance to hear the music before the show and we wanted to take this opportunity to have a little fun. We asked Alan a bunch of really complex questions and received some very simple answers.

Hip In Detroit- What happened at the beginning of the universe?
Alan- "God pushed the 'repeat' button."

Hip In Detroit- What is love?
Alan- "Reckless"

Hip In Detroit- Where does creativity come from?
Alan- "When you're trying to do something better than somebody else."

Hip In Detroit- What is the difference between living and existing?
Alan- "existing=happening living=doing"

Hip In Detroit- If you knew you were about to die, what do you want your final words to be?
Alan- "Twenty bucks says I could!"

Hip In Detroit- When is silence better than words?
Alan- "When you're thinking hard."

Hip In Detroit- Will machines ever become conscience?
Alan- "According to this documentary I watched entitled Terminator 2..."

Hip In Detroit- What is the next evolution of humans?
Alan- "Monoethnicity and 4 toes"

Hip In Detroit- Do some animals believe in God or a supernatural being?
Alan- "I don't know who my cat's (Rigby) God would be, but, I know sure as hell his Devil would be the bathtub."

Hip In Detroit- What is the meaning of life?
Alan- "A small act of charity will go a long way"-fortune cookie

Hip In Detroit- What is right and what is wrong?
Alan- "Right is listening to my song. Wrong is NOT enjoying the song!"

As you can see, he's a very clever man who writes some good tunes. Take a listen to his new song, "Simple Answers", and head out to the Magic Stick at 8 pm this Saturday for the show. Tickets are $7  and all ages are welcome. The Magic Stick is located at 4140 Woodward Av. in Detroit.
