Mittenfest VIII takes over Ypsi this Weekend!

Starting this weekend on December 27th through the 31st, Mittenfest will return to Ypsilanti for the 8th annual installment of the festival. This five day festival was originally created by Brandon Zwagerman as a fun way to raise money for 826michigan. 826michigan is a local non-profit with  writing and tutoring centers in Ypsilanti and Detroit that offer free classes to students. To date they have raised over $75,000 for the kids.

This year's lineup will feature Frontier Ruckus, Saturday Looks Good to Me, Detroit based rapper Breezee One, The ILL Itches (also playing our Two Year Show on February 1st), Disinformants, Chit Chat, Alexis, Cold Men Young, Jamaica Queens, and Tunde Olaniran (also headlining the Hip In Detroit 2 year). For a full line up go here.

Wristbands are $10 a night and can be purchased at Woodruff's bar located at 36 East Cross Street in Ypsilanti. Doors will open at 7 p.m. each night and close at 2. All proceeds from the festival will go to 826Michgian.
