You Can Once Again Share a Good Meal at The Peterboro

Did you know that The Peterboro has officially reopened after a revamp of its menu? They kept all the things that made you visit before and added a ton of vegan and vegetarian options to make sure that the plant-based community can feel welcome and included in the fun, Plus, they brought in one of Detroit's best cocktail creators Kevin Hickner to design a new, unique, and delicious cocktail menu. We stopped in to celebrate Lunar New Year and were more than pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere.

We started our meal with the mushroom dumplings which feature shitake mushrooms, ginger, broth, and chili oil. Then, we enjoyed a round of cheeseburger spring rolls and vegetable spring rolls. The cheeseburger rolls are one of their most popular items, they are served with pickles and a tangy sauce. The vegetable spring rolls feature cabbage, carrots, onion, mushrooms, and sweet chili sauce. The mushroom dumplings are a must-have, in fact, you might want to order two rounds if you have a big group because you will want more than one.

For our entrees, we had almond boneless chicken, crispy chicken wings, and mapo tofu. The portions were large, which meant that everyone could share their food and experience more of the menu.  Everything was good, but the mapo tofu really stood out because of its unique spices. We would absolutely recommend trying that when you visit!

The Peterboro is located in Detroit's Historic Chinatown District at 420 Peterboro. They are currently open for carryout and delivery on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 4:20 p.m. and they are open for dine-in on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 4:20 p.m. You can make reservations to have a meal with them here.
