Royal Oak is Hosting the 22nd Annual Arts, Beats & Eats this Holiday Weekend

For the last 22 years, Metro Detroit has celebrated the end of Summer with Arts, Beats & Eats. What began as a modest celebration in Pontiac, Michigan has expanded to become one of the biggest events in Metro Detroit. This four-day festival brings art, music and eats from all over the U.S. together for one weekend of fun before the weather turns.

This year's event will feature music on 10 different stages, food from 40 different trucks, and merchandise from 50 + makers from around the U.S.  This event separates itself from all the others by featuring makers and artists from all across the country.

You can see a full list of the artists here, the music here, and the food here. Musical highlights include The Four Tops, All American Rejects, and Third Eye Blind. There are also a lot of food choices, including vegan options like Nosh Pit, local options like Imperial, and healthier options that will be labeled at each booth. The artist's lineup up is full of people who are traveling to be here so there is a good chance that you will see something new if you take the time to browse.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday Saturday and Sunday and 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Labor Day. Admission varies from $3 to $7 depending on what time of day you visit and once you are in you are allowed to leave and come back, but your pass is only good for the day, not the entire weekend. Children under 3 are free to get in at any time. Chairs, food, and outside drinks are not allowed and parking is REALLY HARD or expensive, so if you can ride a bike or Lyft your way down there it would be worth saving the time and the expense.

The festival released a new interactive map that you can use to find your way around all week, you can check that out here.

If you have any more questions about the festival you should be able to find your answers here.
