Treat Dreams Dessert Emporium is OPEN!

Did you know that ice cream is the number one selling sweet treat in the United States? Cookies are a close second, but we love our frozen pints so much that on average we are all consuming around 48 pints of ice cream a year. Vanilla is the most popular flavor and chocolate syrup is the number one topping, but ice cream has come a long way since it was first brought to America in the late 1800's. Ice cream artisans like Michigan based Treat Dreams have been innovating the industry for the last ten years by exploring different flavors and making the frozen treats accessible to people who can't handle or do not want to eat dairy. They have created tons of one of a kind flavors that are unique to their shop, this includes flavors like Macaroni and Cheese, Hot Jalapeno, and Chocolate covered Potato Chip. But, creating around 1,000 new flavors since their inception wasn't enough for them. They decided that they wanted to team up with a few more local companies to bring people what they really want, a one stop dessert shop with tons of options, including cookies, cakes, chocolates, popcorn, brownies and more!

Treat Dreams closed down their Ferndale location for a few months to completely remodel the space. They also moved in D'vine Cookies (previously located inside The Rust Belt Market) to serve up fresh cookies and edible cookie dough. They brought in Guilt Chocolates to give patrons their truffle and bon bon fix, and invited chef Nikita Sanches from Rock City Eatery to feature a few of his famous pies inside their space at all times. They even have 16 layer cake slices that are ready to eat whenever you need a fix. They also have options for those living the dairy free life. This includes a variety of vegan cookies, vegan cookie dough, chocolates, and ice creams. There isn't one thing for your dairy free friend to fall in love with, there are ten, so no one has to feel left out of the fun.
The new "dessert emporium" as they are calling it will be open from noon until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon until 9 on Sundays. To learn more about the brand and to see their weekly flavor list, follow them on Instagram here
