Today is International Women's Day, a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It's a day to reflect on how far we have come in the fight for equality while recognizing that we still have a long way to go. Here are some of the fun ways that you can celebrate women in and around the city today!

International Women's Day Specials at Blakes- Ladies enjoy 1/2 OFF pints & glasses of wine all day! And they will have live music at 7 pm!

Dames Detroit is Celebrating Women at Willis Show Bar- Willis Show bar will be celebrating women by inviting you to enjoy a night of music and drinking that celebrates women.  Attendees will get a gift bag and hear a motivational speech from TheLipStickJourney.com's founder and CEO Anna.


Eat a Julie Childs Inspired Meal and Help Raise Money for Haven at Public House- Public House Chef Jasmine Hughes is offering up a special menu inspired by Julia Child. The drink menu will include specials created by three pioneers of the drink industry including libations from Audrey Saunders, Joy Perrine, and Julie Reiner. Plus, Public House will donate 10% of sales on March 8 to HAVEN Oakland County.
