Summer Smash Returns to Detroit!

The Summer Smash is returning to Detroit after a long hiatus. The festival ran from 1999 till 2008, when they took a break. The idea of the festival was to bring bands together to play and raise money for local charities. This Friday PJ's Lager House will host the rebirth of Summer Smash.

This year's lineup includes Fred Thomas (of Saturday Looks Good to Me and Failed Flowers),
Stef ,  Ryan Allen & His Extra Arms (Destroy This Place) and Wooden Teeth (Zach from Mexican Knives & friends). Proceeds from the event will be donated to Suck it Suicide, a a local nonprofit offering support to families and working to end the stigma of mental illness.

Tickets to attend are are only $10 at the door and the fun starts at 9 p.m.
The same people behind this fest will be hosting The Detroit Fest later this year. So, if you enjoy this or miss out on the fun, keep your eyes open for their next event!
