Citizen Smile's Last Family Show at PJ's Lager House

This Friday night, Citizen Smile will take over PJ’s Lager House for The Last Family Show. The band first started doing their Family Shows 9 years ago after a release show at The Pike Room. That show included Handgrenades, The Ashleys, and Patrick Davy & The Ghosts on the bill. The four bands liked each other so much and loved playing together so much that they decided to make the lineup a recurring thing. The Family Show would take over PJ’s Lager House a couple of times a year, but it has been awhile since the family has had a reunion.

This Friday, they will be getting together for one last time at PJ’s Lager House. We’re not saying that these bands will never play the Lager House again, but it will be the last official Family Show. Plus, it’s not too often that you get to see Patrick Davy & The Ghosts or The Ashleys nowadays. Unfortunately the guys in Handgrenades will just be doing a DJ set, but you’ll still get to see their faces and they will keep the night moving with great tunes in between the bands’ sets.

Cover to see these bands live this Friday night is only $5. If you’d rather save that $5 for a drink, we are also getting a few readers in the door for free. To enter to win free entry for you and a friend, send your name to hipindetroit@gmail.com with #family in the subject line. We will draw two lucky winners on Friday morning and they will each get into the show with a friend for free that night.

Doors are set to open at 8 p.m. for this one.
